Andrew Pierce and Ashley Hudson were aware that there was no turning back once they met in their Hamburg church. Ashley was only 17 and never had a boyfriend, so the two took things really slow. The couple fell in love instantly. Andrew was praying for Ashley on New Year's Eve, right prior to the start of the year in 2016, to God would bless him with a last blessing this year. Then, Ashley would be his bride. Ashley wanted an elegant wedding that was a folk-inspired wedding. It was crucial for her that the wedding reflected both Andrew as well as Ashley. Their wedding day consisted of all their loves. The venue chosen was on the back 40 acres of the land Ashley was raised on. Ashley had a good understanding of the whole area, exploring it, and playing in the area. Andrew and Ashley were also walking around this area several times since they started dating. Because the wedding was largely DIY, personalization was an important part. Andrew and Ashley's father designed the ceremony arch and the seating arrangements, and Ashley performed a lot of designing and painting. Ashley claims that, with Anna's stunning floral design, our wedding wouldn't be as beautiful and intimate as I hoped. The work is simply stunning.
